Ape is the quietest room in the house. It is on the first floor, at the top of the stairs, and has an imposing early 20th century wardrobe, writing desk and bedside tables. The handcrafted wrought iron bed is in anthracite grey and matches the single bed next to it. The bedspreads are in yellow and light blue like the walls, making the room all the more welcoming. The large window looks south, towards the Umbrian hills.
The bathroom has period fixtures, with a large ceramic washbasin in front of the window overlooking the ancient oak tree, and a beautiful shower finished in sand-coloured stone.
